Before You Connect

Ensure Trezor Suite is installed and running on your system. If you haven't installed it yet, visit our download page first.

Requirements

  • Trezor Suite software installed and running
  • Original USB cable (or high-quality replacement)
  • Working USB port on your computer
  • Web browser or Trezor Suite application

Connection Steps

Step 1: Physical Connection

Connect your Trezor device to your computer using the USB cable. Use a direct port connection rather than USB hubs for best reliability. The device screen should light up when properly connected.

Step 2: Verify Suite Status

Trezor Suite should detect your device automatically. Check that the Suite service is running in your system tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac). If the device isn't detected, try our troubleshooting guide.

Step 3: Open Trezor Interface

Launch either the web interface or desktop application. Your Trezor device should be recognized immediately. Follow on-screen prompts to proceed.

Step 4: Enter PIN

If prompted, enter your PIN using the on-screen keypad. The PIN layout is randomized for security. Never type your PIN directly on your computer keyboard when using the web interface.

Connecting your Trezor for the first time? You'll need to complete the initial setup process. Visit our setup guide for detailed instructions on:
